Laura Harvey's assemblages, collages and mixed media paintings are as unique and varied as the materials she uses to create them.

Delving into an extensive collection of ephemera, such as old board games, sheet music, vintage periodicals and sewing patterns, Laura begins each of her pieces by layering paper, fabric, and a variety of adhesives on a board or canvas to build texture and interest. Once the surface is ready, she employs a variety of media, including (but certainly not limited to) acrylic paint, fabric scraps, beeswax, glitter, glass, and gold leaf to bring the piece to life; to tell a story, to entertain.
